BTS Tax Service Website

Problem Statement

Nick Baltagi runs BTS Tax Service (Business Tax Solutions, Inc.), a family-owned Miami firm in business since 2009 with over 1,100 clients and a 4.6-star Google rating. Despite those credentials, his website was down. SSL had expired, the domain was misconfigured, and prospective clients landing on the URL saw a browser security warning instead of a business. His email was a personal AOL account, which undermined the professional image a tax firm needs to convert new clients.

Tax preparation is a trust business. Clients hand over their financial documents and Social Security numbers to someone they found online. A broken or absent website does not just cost leads. It signals instability. Nick also serves a large Spanish-speaking Miami community, and nothing on his existing presence addressed that audience in their language.

A previous vendor had taken roughly $10,000 and delivered nothing usable over more than a year. Nick needed a working site fast, with no more broken promises.

Solution

Built a complete static marketing site from scratch using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, deployed on Vercel and connected to Nick's domain. The site covers all core business needs: a homepage with trust signals and a clear services overview, a dedicated services page covering personal taxes, business taxes, payroll, and ancillary offerings, an about page featuring Nick and his team, a contact page with a working form, and privacy and terms pages required for compliance.

Bilingual support runs site-wide. A lightweight translation module powers a one-click EN/ES toggle that switches every visible string on the page, from nav labels and hero text to footer legal copy, with no page reload. The contact form submits through a Vercel serverless function that delivers leads via Resend directly to the client's inbox.

The entire stack costs near-zero to operate. No CMS, no database, no recurring platform fee. Easy for the client to maintain and fast for visitors on any device.

Key Features

  • Site-wide EN/ES bilingual toggle: One-click language switch covers 517+ translation keys across all pages, serving Miami's Spanish-speaking community without separate URLs or duplicated pages
  • 6 content pages: Home, Services, About, Contact, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, covering the full surface area a professional tax firm needs online
  • Working contact form with Resend delivery: Lead submissions are validated server-side and emailed directly to the client with name, email, phone, service type, and message, replacing the previous situation where prospective clients had no reliable way to reach the firm online
  • Remote filing scope clearly communicated: Copy explicitly covers remote filing across all 50 US states for US federal and state tax returns, setting accurate expectations and reducing misdirected inquiries
  • Mobile-responsive layout: Full viewport support across desktop and mobile, consistent with the client's target audience in Miami
  • Near-zero hosting cost: Static deployment on Vercel's free tier means no ongoing platform bill for the client

Impact / Metrics

  • Replaced a $10,000 vendor delivery failure in days. The prior vendor had taken roughly $10K over a year and shipped nothing usable. The new bilingual site was live and capturing contact-form leads inside the same week as commission.
  • Replaced a broken site with a live, credentialed presence the same week it was commissioned. Nick's previous vendor delivered nothing for over a year. The new site shipped in days.
  • ~$0/month to host. Vercel's free tier handles the traffic load for a local service firm, eliminating any recurring infrastructure cost for the client.
  • 517+ translation keys covering every page in English and Spanish, directly addressing Miami's Hispanic market, which represents a significant portion of Nick's existing 1,100-client base. Bilingual coverage means zero manual translation step per inbound lead: the site self-qualifies Spanish-speaking prospects and delivers their inquiry in the same format as English ones, with no extra handling required.
  • Static architecture means near-zero ongoing maintenance time. No CMS updates, no plugin patches, no database to manage. Nick's time cost after launch is effectively zero outside of content changes he controls directly.
  • Contact form now actually delivers leads. Previously, no working digital contact path existed. Resend integration routes every inquiry directly to the client inbox with full context.
  • Trust signal restored. A professional bilingual site with proper SSL, a clean domain, and clear service pages gives prospective clients the same confidence the firm's 4.6-star Google reviews deserve.
  • 6 content pages shipped, including legal pages required to support future email and SMS marketing campaigns.
